With so many glucometers to choose from, sometimes it's hard finding the right glucometer. Factors to consider when choosing a glucometer should be:

1. Alternative site testing
2. Amount of blood needed for each test
3. Cost of the glucometer
4. Cost of the testing strips for the glucometer
5. How much memory the glucometer has
6. How often you have to refill testing strips
7. Size of the glucometer
8. Size of the testing strips
9. Testing speed
10. Does the meter require coding
